Book 1 of The Determined World series
The centuries long cycle of fighting and entrenchment between the Kingdom of Garinn and the Council of the Tokkin is about to be broken by a massive Tokkin assault. The devastating aftermath will plant the fear of chaos and that weakness is just what the victor requires. The course of the continent will shift as unforeseen advancements will uproot the established order. The fractured old ways are a small obstacle against the certainty the victor offers.
Talphi is born into this rapidly changing world. He is lucky enough to be able to take advantage of the changes. But as he learns, Talphi will find himself at odds with the certainties that surround his education. His beliefs will clash with the weight of the authorities and Talphi will have to decide the worth of his belief. How far must he go to follow his own path?
Book 2 of The Determined World series
Talphi’s task is straightforward. Make a tower and erase his debt. The task means Talphi hasn’t escaped the King’s ambitions, but at least he’s not indentured to the Kingdom. He just needs to keep a low profile and get the job done. However, there are more problems in swampy Coventree than the erection of the tower.
The local noble has more at stake than the commoners Talphi is accustom to. The tower is just the latest problem. Simply keeping his head down won’t be enough to save Talphi from ignorance and no one is going to volunteer their intentions. The risk of quick debt relief will cost him dearly. Talphi will find himself deeper in the swamp that he didn’t wish to enter.
Book 3 of The Determined World series
Fourteen years have made Talphi stronger, but the Kingdom of Garrin has grown stronger too. The Tokkin lands are at the precipice of annihilation as King Medrick’s expansion methodically consumes their lives. The foresight of Krn’v’rnk has meant that the Tokkin cannot surprise or counter the assault on their home. The Tokkin cling to the hope that they can be delivered from destruction.
Talphi would seem like the obvious solution, but it isn’t that simple. The Tokkin do not know him and they do not trust him. Talphi knows he will not just be fighting the Kingdom of Garrin. He will need to fight centuries of prejudices and beliefs. Will the Tokkin change their beliefs to survive or are their beliefs worth dying for?
Yoga Instruction
I have been practicing yoga since 2013 and started teaching in 2015. I stopped teaching in 2021, but still practice regularly. I practice at West Side Yoga – PVD and highly recommend it. Their teachers come from a range of backgrounds which makes classes unique to each teacher.
Key Id Tag – Side Projects
This is one of the many things I make in my spare time. This one was made for a yoga studio I used to be part of. Most of the projects I’m able to work on are thanks to my involvement with S.K. Grimes. The extra talents I’ve picked up and equipment I work with has made me a more professional maker of ‘stuff’.
